Lana began her martial arts journey training in MMA, later transitioning to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to strengthen her grappling and deepen her technical understanding of the sport. She started training at North East Jiu Jitsu in April 2022, where she developed a fast-growing passion for the art and was promoted to blue belt by Ellis Younger in September 2023.
In January 2025, Lana joined Black Country Jiu Jitsu, quickly becoming an integral part of the competition team. Drawing on her professional background as a personal trainer, as well as her extensive competition experience across the country, she took on the role of women’s coach, focusing on building confidence, technical proficiency, and a strong, supportive training environment for women of all levels.
Her dedication to continuous growth—both as an athlete and a coach—was recognised when she was promoted to purple belt by Dave Weston in June 2025.
A committed and active competitor, Lana continues to test herself at every level. She made her GrappleFest debut in October 2025, securing an impressive submission victory and further cementing her reputation as a driven, technical, and exciting grappler.
